Wantin’ Don’t Get Nothin’ Done

Hey Dad,

One of the great things about cleaning your desk is finding all the stuff you’d forgotten about thatt was lost under the pile. To all you neat people who’ve never had a cluttered desk…”You don‘t know what you‘re missing.”

Anyway , I found this little desk gem under the pile on a slip of paper.

“The greatest want of the world is the want of dads-dads who will not be bought or sold, dads who in their inmost souls are true and honest, dads who do not fear to call sin by it’s right name, dads whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole, dads who will stand for what is right though the heavens fall.”

I like that…a lot.

That’s what I want to be, what I want my children and wife to think of me, and what God asks of me.

It sure is a lot easier to read those words than BE those words.
