10 Choices: A Proven Plan to Change Your Life Forever

I’m pro-choice. WAIT! Before you click away in disgust, let me explain myself. Are you still there? Good. I’m not speaking of pro-choice when it comes to life in the womb, but pro-choice when it comes to the choices I must make in this life. There are choices I have to make, whether I choose to recognize them or not. They are still there, and I must, and will, choose.

Dr. James MacDonald has written a book recently entitled, “10 Choices: A Proven Plan to Change Your Life Forever”. He is a pastor in Illinois and hosts a national radio program called “Walk in the Word” — perhaps you’ve heard of him. He is a brilliant communicator and his passion is to assist people in their Christian walks by using the Word of God.

He breaks down the choices you must make in life into five categories: Identity, Authority, Capacity, Priority and Destiny. Each of these categories have two choices each that you must make. He begins with your choice of having a relationship with Christ; because that is the foundation of all other choices. Mess this one up, and the rest don’t really matter. It’s an important chapter to have nailed down! He’ll go on to explain the matter of submitting to God and His Word, choices in dealing with others (like forgiveness and trust), making the right priorities (like family first and being real) and choices that will shape the rest of your life, leaving a legacy that your children would be proud of (being dedicated to serving God and others and being a man of conviction).

This book is very easy to read, and, according to MacDonald’s literary style, very applicable. I recommend this book for you to read with great confidence that God will use His Word, His minister and His Spirit in helping you make correct choices in life that will change your life forever.
