Last Dance at the Bus Bar
When my son was a toddler, he used to love riding in his car seat because it gave him a stable platform from which to pitch things at the back of my head. His giggly joy when he managed to nail me with a soggy chunk of Pop Tart was so full of delight I couldn’t find it in my heart to get mad at him, though I hated it when my boss would interrupt a meeting to ask me if I realized I had pastry crumbs in my hair.

The Worst Christmas EVER!!!
Last year we spent Christmas Eve in the emergency room and all our warm fuzzy plans were destroyed. I’ve heard other Christmas Eve horror stories. If you just experienced a particularly hard Christmas Eve or Day, I’d like to hear about it. Share your story here.

The Best and Worst Jobs for Familymen
Dad, let’s make a list of the best and worst jobs for dads. I’m not talking about how much you make, but is it a family friendly job.
Does it give you plenty of time with your family? Is it flexible? Does it have good vacation perks (like teaching school)? OR does it demand time on the road, a large amount of weekly hours, weekends and evenings?
The Gumball Machine Dilemma
Hey, I’ve got a question. We went to dinner the other night at a Wilson favorite spot. As is often the case at this spot my little kids brough a quarter to spend in the gumball machines near the door (it’s a classy joint). Everything in my cheapskate body screams against wasteing money on those things. My dad never let us do it…and it was good enough for me. MY wife’s dad, on the other hand, almost always let her do it. What should I do?

Bed, Breakfast, and Benefit…in Addis Abba
If you are traveling through Addis Ababa for business or pleasure, you would be hard pressed to find a more comfortable and yet economical place to stay than the Addis New Friends Guest House. It’s perfect for mission teams, adoptive families, or small tourist groups. And yet while you unwind, you help others. How can this be?
What makes a good men’s retreat?
I asked the question: “What makes a good men’s retreat?”
This is what you said…
I want to be able to connect with God, not have a boring speaker. I want long corporate prayer time where the men pour out their hearts to God. I want I want contemporary praise and worship time to connect to God through music. A good Bible time with other men focused on what makes men be men – God, and how to use what’s in scripture in my everyday life. ~ Walter

It got me thinking, "What simple icon would represent a dad?"
