Just thought you’d be interested to know that Larry D. Mann, who voiced Yukon Cornelius in the animated Christmas dad-favorite “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” died a couple days ago. He was 91.
Yukon and I go way back…in fact Rudolph aired just one month after I was born in 1964. My children and I have watched it every year of their lives on the night we decorate our Christmas tree. We occasionally toss our lines like:
“The fog is as thick as peanut Butter.”
“Herbie doesn’t like to make toys.”
“Eat Papa.”
“Or and cowboy who rides and ostrich.”
Just for the record, I don’t like change. I don’t like people getting older or dying, but I know God’s plan is best and getting old and dying must be best.
But until that time…I’m going to enjoy old TV specials along with my children.
You should do the same.
You ‘da dad,
Todd
