The Last Night in The House

Hey Dad,

Twenty years ago I never thought it would end, but today is the last day that I’ll have a 5 year old in my family. Tomorrow we celebrate Jedidiah sixth birthday, but today I am mourning the loss of my Five year old.

Five-year-olds are so full of life and animation…and six-year-olds are so…SIX.

I know it’s all part of God’s amazing plan…but I feel sad at the passage of time (I won’t even talk about 20 year olds).

I don’t know how your kids are, Dad, but you make sure you enjoy them today because tomorrow they won’t be this age anymore.

I’m going up to play UNO with my Five-year-old.

You ‘da dad,

Todd

PS – Don’t ever think what you do as a dad isn’t the MOST important thing happening on the planet right now.
