Greetings from Maine
Hey Dad,
Things are going good in the Familyman mobile. We’ve made our way north and about ready to cross into the border on our way to Sussex, NB.
Stopped today at Kennebunkport, MN and drove by the Bush summer home (Walker Point), Nice little spread but it didn’t seem like it had adequate RV parking so we didn’t drop in for lunch.
Then made our way to Portland, MN and visited the Head Light lighthouse. The lighthouse is the oldest light house in Maine and was commissioned by George Washington in 1791. The cool part was climbing on the rocks down by the ocean.
We speak in Sussex and then we’ll be spending a week in a beach home near Prince Edward Island (home of Anne of Green Gables).
I’d lost some photos…but it’s kind of hard from the road. FYI – I’m in Bangor, MN right now in a Wal-mart parking lot. You can see plenty of photos at my son’s blog.
Until next time…Swing wide and keep your eye on your tail,
You’re in Bangor, ME, not Bango, MN… big difference in mileage. Glad it’s going well so far for you.
I got pics of that bus when you’re ready for them- drop me a line and/or let me know somehow.
Where are you goin’ next? Which compound is in Kennebunkport by the rocks? is it Kennedy or Bush? I forgot. Either way, tour busses are not allowed to stop- but are allowed to roll by without stopping. 🙂
