The National Antietam Battlefield
Hey Dad,
While everyone is taking showers I thought I’d update you on our RV travels.
Tuesday we stopped off at Harper’s Ferry and learned all kinds of stuff about John Brown and his attempt to arm and free the slaves in the south. It was an easy stop and a mighty beautiful spot to stop.
Wednesday, we did the Antietam National Battlefield in Maryland. FYI it was the single bloodiest day battle in the Civil War. Over 22,000 casualties of war. The photos were horrendous and the ground felt sacred.
Today we show up in Harrisburg and then towards home to speak in Ft. Wayne, IN.
A big thanks for all your prayers. Things have gone well and everyone (including the RV) is doing great.
Until then swing wide and keep your eye on your tail,
Hi Wilsons!
We hit those wonderful National Parks last spring on our way home from a winter of travels. Have you guys checked out the Jr. Ranger programs that the parks offer? They are a great way to learn even more about the parks, and the kids earn badges or patches that make great (and free!) souvenirs!
You have been busy putting on the miles! So glad that everything is going well!
My boys loved the Virginia/NC area battle sites…can’t wait to see you in Ft. Wayne! We will be at the Expo Sat.
Blessings,
Rob (Dad of 6)
Wow! We would have loved to have met you in Harpers Ferry! You were right in our front yard (so to speak!) You came to this area when the weather was perfect. So glad to see that you had a good time. Praying for traveling mercies for you and your family.
