  1. ahh we’re disappointed you won’t be in PA this year for CHAP or SEARCH
    enjoy your travels

  2. Completely forgot that was going on around now. We went a couple of years ago, but it had been raining rather heavily. If you remember your Monty Python, you can probably picture what the jousting looked like (except they didn’t have the guy w/ the coconuts). We had a good time, even if we didn’t buy much at the time.

  3. Todd,

As a native Texan who grew up about 45 minutes north of there let me tell you it is pronounced “Wocks-uh-hat-chee.” There’s an old joke about two Yankees driving thru Tx and arguing about the pronunciation of that town. They stopped at a restaurant to ask a local to settle the argument. One of the Yankees asked the girl at the counter, “Can you slowly and clearly tell me where we are?” The girl replied “D-A-I-R-Y-Q-U-E-E-N.”

Keep up the posts about interesting places you visit—there are plenty of them in this great country of ours.

  4. As someone who has performed at Renaissance Festivals for 29 years I’m glad it was a good experience. Some of them can get pretty hard to find the family friendly entertainment if you don’t know what your doing.

    Any good jugglers?
