Diamonds

Greetings form Arkansas, “the Natural State.” It is mighty pretty around here, and today we spent a chunk of the day looking for diamonds at Crater of Diamonds State Park. I think this is the only place in the world where you can hunt for diamonds and keep all that you find…which for us was just a bunch of rocks, mud, and good memories. I know the boys liked wading through the mud, but I’m not sure precious little Maggie Rose liked the feeling of 10 lbs. of mud stuck to the bottom of her flip-flops.

Tomorrow we head up to Springdale, AR and will make a slight detour to stop by the birthplace of Wal-Mart. I’m hoping they give out free stuff…of course I’m always hoping that. We’ll speak in Springdale and then hit the road for Richmond, VA. The boys don’t know it yet, but we plan to stop at Smoky Mountain Knife Works (a big knife store) on our way. They’ve been talking about it for years.

After that, we speak in Richmond and then we’ll take in the big 400th anniversary celebration in Jamestown, VA.

Man, the time has gone by quickly, and I can’t believe we only have a few more weeks on the road. Things have gone smoothly. I know it’s because so many of you have prayed for us. I appreciate it so much.

You ‘da dad!
