A Little Mickey

The sun is shining, and the family is swimming while I type this and stand guard while Caleb takes a nap. We pulled into Disney’s Fort Wilderness two days ago and have been enjoying our favorite family destination…or as Katherine likes to call it ‘paradise’.

When we pulled in to register I heard a voice say, “Aren’t you the Familyman?” I turned to meet another dad from PA who had just arrived with his family. Disney was right, “It’s a small world after all.”

Last week we spent couple of exhausting days in Charleston and spoke 7 times in three days. Whew! even I get tired of hearing my voice. Caleb had a 105 degree fever but some good folks gave some good advice, and he perked up after a day or two. Afterwards we toured Fort Sumter (which was pricey but good) and the boys and I were able to walk about the aircraft carrier the USS Yorktown. It was beyond huge and the kids walked around with their mouths hanging open.

Tomorrow we head on over to the equally huge Florida state homeschool convention for the country’s largest homeschool convention. It will be a lot of work and speaking, but we’re all looking forward to it.

The RV is holding up well, and I attribute it to your prayers.

You ‘da dad!
