When you’re right you’re right!

Hey Dad,

Tonight is the night. The night where my family will gather in our little family room to the tune of do do da do do do do…do do da doot da do dad doot doot doot. OK that doesn’t sound like the Olympic theme song, but you know the song.

In fact, I think this is my favorite TV view time of all time. There’s just something fun about snuggling down on a cold winter’s night to watch athletes compete in cold winter sports. I know my kids are excited. Katherine likes the figure skating and the boys like Shawn White and snowboarding.

I’m sure there will be some surprises that we’ll have to wait for to be revealed…like a one legged luger or a super fast speed skater. That’s what Olympic dreams are made of.

The one thing that I’m sure I’ll feel is the amount of time some people are willing to put into a sport just to get a big bottle cap on a string. Actually, I wrote an article about such an winter Olympic athlete ten years ago. But you know what…the truth deserves to be told again. So take a few minutes and read it here.
