SnOw!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jed in snowHey Dad,

Today was the day!!! WAS the day. Today I had planned to unpack the RV and start getting it ready for blast off in two and a half weeks. I have a couple decent sized jobs that I need to tackle on it.

Today I woke up to 6″ of snow and 34 degrees. Auuuuggggggggg!!!

God has different plans. So instead of belly-aching, I’m going to work on things that don’t depend on the weather and enjoy it, my family…and avoid freaking out!!! (The photo is of Jed (5) alone in the snow…with his buffalo hat or as they say in Canada ‘ tuque (took).’

Ben (19) and I just got back from Winnipeg yesterday afternoon after a great conference up there. And yes, it was cold and snowy. It looks like a great old town and here’s a little bit of trivia – Winnie the Pooh was named after Winnipeg. How cool is that?

I gotta go…do something…indoors!!!

You ‘da dad,

Todd…the calm

  1. It looks like you took our wonderful Winterpeg weather back with you! I just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed listening to your words of wisdom and reassurance this weekend. Thanks for the inspiration to be real, to dream big and all that good stuff! I laughed when I saw that you are still thinking about Winnie the Pooh! Blessings to you and your family!

  2. You were one of the best keynotes we’ve had at our winnipeg conference so thank you so much! we hope you come back again soon. I giggled with your reference to Winnie the Pooh. 🙂 next time you come to manitoba, come another 8 hours north to where we have our international cold weather testing stations for vehicles and jet engines. Winnipeg is cold but you ain’t seen nothing yet 😉
