Praying for Jeremiah
I can’t imagine being a dad of a sick child. The heart-pain must be incredible. Right now I’m praying for Jeremiah Queen. He’s the youngest son of some friends of us. Five years ago he was diagnosed with Leukemia. He goes in today almost as I type this for a check up. If he’s clear then he doesn’t have to go back for a year. If he’s not…that’s bad.
My heart is racing just thinking about it and I find myself praying as I type this, “God, please let him be fine. Don’t ask him, his parents, or his family to go through anything hard.”
As I pray, I put myself in their shoes. I don’t like those shoes.
Dad, if you know someone with a sick child…stop right now and pray. Pray for their child, their marriage, their family, and for the strength to trust God through all of it. Now thank Him for your healthy children.
If you’re the parent of a sick child…my heart aches for you and although I don’t have any wise advice, I know that God knows, He cares, and HE IS ABLE!! Now thank Him for today.
Either way…You ‘da dad,
Todd
