Cabin Fever
My family is getting cabin fever and starting to look at me funny. Like they’re trying to decide how to eat me. The thing is…I don’t really get cabin fever. I like being home most nights, watching repeat videos, and hanging with my great family. They don’t always feel that way.
So this afternoon we’re loading up the van and heading to the big city to stretch our legs, hang out at Best Buy, eat at Fazoli‘s, and get some fresh air. I should have done it before now…and now I’m trying to make up for lost time.
My wife feels like I’ve let them down by ignoring the problem and for assuming everyone feels like me. As much as I don’t want to admit it ,and I hope she never sees this post, I know she’s right.
MAN, It’s hard being a dad…the responsible one!! But that’s the role we’ve been given, so I will do it.
You bear the responsibility too, Dad. You’re family may not need to go out and stretch…but I’m betting they’re needing something.
You ‘da dad,
Todd
PS – Don’t ask me what a 1970’s Mattel football game has to do with this post.
