Katherine’s 13th Birthday
For Katherine’s 13th brithday we wanted to do something special. So…Debbie took her to Chicago to the American Girl Doll Place for lunch and to get her ears pierced.

We have an ear piercing tradition as well in our family. I have 3 daughters. We allow our daughters to have their ears pierced as they a“pass into young womanhood” with the onset of their first “cycle.” It’s a very special time b/w they and their mother. And of course they can’t wait to show Daddy their pierced ears. My second daughter just recently got her ears pierced. She had been saving up earrings of choice for years. Now she can wear them.-MS Atlanta
My daughter turned 14 yesterday (the 10th). On her 13th birthday last year, we bought her a new dress, and my husband took her out on a wonderful dinner date.
