Cleared for lift-off
Hey Dad,
Other than it snowed today and is a tad chilly for RVingeverything looks good for lift-off in about 9 days. Of course I thought that last year and found out on the day I was to leave that my tail lights didn’t work.
Not this year…I hope.
Anyway, I worked hard at the end of last year on my list of things to fix and this is what I got done:
- Refrigerator brain fixed
- New air pistons on storage compartments
- New window added
- New drawer glides on hard to open drawers
- Solved the blown-fuse issue
- Solved the touchy tail-light issue
- Installed new RV step
- Had the big awning that was blown off in Oklahoma City replaced
- Changed fluids
- Fixed the big air horn problem…OOOO!!!!
- and some other stuff that I can’t recall.
Now I just have to de-winterize it and do a few odds and ends. Hopefully there will be no surpise when I add water “see last year.”:http://family.familymanweb.com/rvblog/if-at-first-you-dont-succeedfail-fail-again
Then, I hope to load up the end of this week and then head out next week bound for Kansas City.
To tell you the truth I have a pit in my stomach just thinking of all the what-ifs…so I’m not going to think of all the what-ifs and try to enjoy the adventure with my family.
Hey, If you think about it I sure could use your prayers over the next couple of months. We won’t be out as long as we were last year, but we’re still going to be coming and going a big chunk of the spring/summer/fall.
I’ll write you to you on the road. And you can always see our frequently updated photos from my cell phone.

So…until next time, swing wide and keep your eye on your tail,
Wow, Todd – it feels like you guys just parked that thing a couple days ago? 🙂
Where is the front “backward” decal?
It’s there…just folded down for access to the hood.
