A Homemade Potato Humvee
“Hey, Dad, come out and see what we did!”
I did…and this is what I saw. The kids had strapped our potato canon to their go cart. Those are my boys!!!

wow that’s awesome! 🙂 I have fond memories of making potato guns with my dad, wait that was only 2 years ago 🙂
Very cool idea, guys!
You guys always do fun stuff!
Neat!
Time to warn the neighbors!!!!
I’ll never forget the one woman who saw this book about building a potato cannon in my booth and demanded to know “Are you trying to raise our children to be terrorist?”
My reply was “No…just trying to teach them which side of the cannon to be standing on”
Keep up the good work!!
That is AWESOME! Those boys need some paintball guns too…
I did a lot of vadalistic/destructive things when I was a kid, but building a potato cannon wasn’t one of them. How do you build one? More importantly, how do you arm it?
You can find the directions at https://www.familymanweb.com/bigoutdoors
This looks dangerous! Which means it must be AWESOME! If push ever comes to shove, I am going to bunker down with you guys. Great job!
Todd,
Awesome potato gun. Instead of potatoes, use lemons and limes that fit tightly in the barrel. You will have a blast. Make sure you are wearing your glasses on so you can see how far they fly! Then try a racketball.
