The Injection

Of all the books I’ve written, this is the book that gets my heart thumping. It’s also the one that gets comments like, “This is the best book I’ve ever read… This should be a MOVIE!”

Would you be willing to help me… GET IT OUT THERE?

A reprobate dad. An innocent son. The perfect crime. A love story you’ll never forget. To avoid paying child support, Billy Luck commits the perfect crime. His son would die, Billy’s problems would disappear…and no one would ever know. But the unthinkable happens, and he finds himself sentenced to care for the son he wanted dead.

  1. thank you for such a great read, I cried and smiled all at the same time..what a powerful book. thank you for writing it…it really touched me.

  2. My dad bought this book, and never got around to reading. I found it on an old book shelf in the basement, picked it up, and started reading it. Ever since I started it, I can’t put it down. I cried while reading it, and I NEVER cry…. Thanks for the awesome book.

  3. I read the whole book yesterday! (Don’t worry- my hubby helped me put it down through dinner and bedtimes!) I curled up in my favorite chair and read, sniffled, smiled and enjoyed every bit of it.

I found it every bit as challenging as the “practical” books on the table last weekend… hope you sell lots of these!

  4. I’m reading the preview now. But, you should try contacting the Kendricks (Courageous, Fireproof, etc) at Sherwood Pictures and see if they’re interested or if they could recommend a film-maker/studio.

  5. Todd, what an awesome read and a great story of rebellion, growth, love, grace, compassion and forgiveness. Thank you for being obedient and writing this story. I also found myself smiling in one paragraph and “tearing up” in the next. I will admit that I’m still a bit torn over how I feel about Billy and his “crime”. But sin is sin, and forgiveness is forgiveness, so it’s my “flesh” that is torn. I’m looking forward to your next “father themed” book. I do have one question: what was in the envelope that Mr. Griswold gave Billy at the Christmas service?

  6. Todd,
I couldn’t put the book down. I experienced about every emotion imaginable thru this story.

I kept asking myself, how does a guy that thinks about his family and thinks about stuff like sandals and black socks come up with this material? Very real story.
Thanks for the encouragement to live the moment with our kids. As a dad who has experienced pain from growing up it is a reminder that we CAN change our family history, one generation at a time.

    Thanks for your ministry.
When you coming back to Des Moines?

  7. Just finished your book, “The Injection” and am so proud of you for writing such a story of how knowing Jesus can turn a guy around! It was great!
