Rainy but Good
Finally a little peace and quiet…could be because I’m sitting in Panera Bread sending this out while the rest of the family is out in the RV. We’ve had a great week…after the tire blow-out on the highway…and met a bunch of great dads and moms at the Kansas City Expo Center.
We’ve also had a few days to play and were able to see the Precious Moments Museum – Carthage, MO (don’t say anything!), the Wilson Creek National Battlefield (no relation), and did a little putt-putting and tried our hand at a batting cage (I’ve still got it – not that I had much to begin with). Even found time to eat at Lambert’s – home of the throwed rolls.
Through the generosity of others, we were able to spend the evening at Dolly Parton’s – Dixie Stampede – very cool and the kids thought it was awesome. Today we’re having dinner with some friends in Springfield and then set up for a convention tomorrow.
Things have gone pretty smoothly. Thanks for praying…I need it. It still feels a little tight in the RV, but I think we’re getting our RV-legs. If I can remember what’s important, slow down, and use my gentle voice, things go a lot better.
Better go. Here are a few pictures.
You ‘da dad!
