Two Mice ONE trap!

Hey Dad,

Not only have I beaten back most of the dreaded fruit flies, but today we caught TWO mice in ONE mousetrap. That’s right TWO in ONE. Of course we got’em with trusty, blood stained Ol’ Killer. I’ve got other mousetraps (I’m a Victor Mouse Trap Guy) but I’ve tweaked the catch on Ol’ Killer so that if a mouse so much as breathes on it SNAPPPPP!!!! I pitty the mouse who stumbles upon it.

Left is a photo of the big catch.

You can read more about all kind of traps over at the “Victor Mouse Trap web site”:http://www.victorpest.com

  1. That is not a Mommy and a baby, is it?! (or a DADDY and a baby?!) Mice are mice I guess, but its kind of a sad picture to me.

  2. Way to go, Todd! We had the same thing happen about a month ago, two for one, but we haven’t caught one since :-(. Maybe the “Killer” label will help! We’re not defeated!

  3. Awesome Catch!!!

I remember my parents using the larger version to catch chipmunks… after catching one, mom would place a fresh trap next to the snapped trap and within in hour a second chipmunk would come to rescue the first and SNAP goes trap number two…. too funny.

  4. We just bought a townhouse and found a rat/mouse nest behind our stove. I think we are going to go out and get some “killers” as well. Thanks for the tip! Good job on your catch.

  5. Sweet Todd!

I just hate the thought of those traps snapping before I can move my fingers out of the way when setting it.

  6. A couple of years ago, there was flooding all around our home, and we were infested with mice…I set a trap, then another, and another…we ended up catching 15 mice…I took pictures too 🙂 Good Ol’Victor, and peanut butter.

  7. I gotta say .. I have no love of mice BUT that does look like a Dad and son … not that I wouldn’t kill em but .. just not sure i’d want a Trophy pic… a little warped brother. 😉

  8. I like the picture! what is the value of exterminating vermin if there is no proof to use when bragging? It totally completes the package. Thanks for sharing.

  9. OK, I totally see why your blog is geared toward MEN. That is just so disgusting, I can barely stand to look. I’m glad you were home to empty that catch for your dear wife!

  10. Nice picture Todd. Here’s my problem. My 11 y/o daughter wants a “cute” baby mouse for a pet. She and her siblings have been combing the “ back 40” for a nest and have found two so far. I have explained that a baby mouse will quickly die without its mother. So now they are trying to capture mom along with the offspring. So far they have been unable to capture momma. After ‘splaining that we ain’t gonna have no stinkin’ mice in our house I have been introducing our two new kittens to the location of each mouse nest. Hopefully this will eliminate the rodents without volumes of tears from the children. Now, what was that old saying about the best laid plans of mice and men…?

  11. I am going to have to tweak my “Killer” a little more. My 5yr old son spotted a mouse a couple of days ago. Boy was he excited. A little peanut on the trap and the darn mouse licked it clean TWICE! Tweaked it a little and finally got him last night. Of course maybe he just got fat off the peanut butter I was feeding him until he was big enough to trigger the SNAP!

  12. EWWW!!! GROSS!! I thought I’d see a picture of some fish you caught on some recent fishing trip! Didn’t expect to SEE the mice! Hee hee!

  13. LOL! All the women freaking out over the 2-fer-1 picture are cracking me up!

Around here my three DAUGHTERS have had hamsters o’plenty, a pet mouse and now a blue rat. Sheesh, I never thought I’d see the day…

Anyway, that brown mouse in the pic is HUGE!

  14. If you really want to get the kids excited about killing mice (so you don’t have to) turn them loose with the BB gun. Oh, and tell them to be careful while shooting it in the house.

  15. After experiencing the pervasive damage and filth mice can cause, not to mention the wrath of my wife because a mouse got into the house, I have no mercy on rodents anymore. My sons have been commissioned to the battle as well, and they have been very creative with their weaponry – everything from Air-Soft guns to electrocution.

  16. Wait a second! I’m all for that kind of “sport” but elsewhere on your site, don’t you talk about a visit to WDW? You better be careful that Mickey doesn’t see this page!

  17. At our house we have moved to captial punishment. We have a mouse trap that electrocutes them. When the light blinks, just empty what looks like a nicely sleeping mouse to the dead rodent pile behind the shed. We have been in the battle of mouse killing for years and I have never seen 2 in one trap, I can’t wait to show my husband! The kids all loved it.

  18. Way to go. I hate mice! I opened up our popup camper before Labor Day to get ready to go camping, and mice had taken over! Ugh! (they chewed through the wheel well cover) They totally destroyed the curtains, and one of the quilts I had made for the bed. I’m a mom with a passion to see “dead” mice, and more cats at our place! (They often invade our old farm house too!- bring on the cats!)

  19. It’s a man thing…thank God! My husband has been catching squirrels all summer so they don’t eat our produce garden…today, he caught a opossum which takes up 1/2 of the cage…you go, men, we root you on!

  20. We had a rat caught not in a trap, but in the kitchen cupboard. Trouble is it was hanging there dead and our daughter mistook it for the towel!

  21. I found one in our kitchen and she would come out in the middle of the day with us in the same room.YUK! I sat on the kitchen table and supervised my son with the BB gun and we ended up shooting the thing. We didn’t kill it but it went back to the babies that we found later and stayed there until my husband came home from work and gave the nasty thing a heart attack. You go!!!!!
