Family Friendly TV Series

Hey Dad,

My family and I needed some Family friendly television to watch as the weather gets cooler pushing us indoors. I’m pretty picky and want something without bad language and adult themes. That nixes a lot of stuff. So I asked the dads and here’s what they said: (Again, not everyone uses the same grid so don’t assume that just because it’s on the list it’s OK).

  1. Thank you for the list of alternatives. I was cautioned recently about these types of programs…while they are wholesome, they portray lives without Jesus. The plot/conflicts are usually concluded tidily and show a reality that does not exist apart from God. In other words, I realized I don’t want my children believing that life can be good without living for God. Our every moment needs to be dependent on God and when we show our children people are happy, successful, and their problems are solved (often within one episode), we severely shortchange them the opportunity of seeing families going to our Creator for each and every need. Just my 2 cents.
