Everything’s Drippy in Kansas City

If at first you don’t succeed, fail, fail, again. Although I was able to get a gasket for the drippy A/C unit at Kansas City Trailer I still can’t beat the toilet. While KC Trailer, I picked up a new water valve, a fitting, and installed them both. Turned on the water and it leaked like a small Niagara Falls…aauuugggggg!!!!

While in KC we stopped in the Truman Presidential Museum long wnough to see his famous Buck Stops Here sign and learn about the president who dropped the bomb on Japan. We planned to take in the Harley Davidson Factory Tour but ran out of time.

Today, I think I’ll drop off my wife at Goodwill to do some shopping and then take the boys to Bass Pro Shop for a little while. Might even have lunch at McAlister’s Deli. We’ve never eaten there before, but I’ve been told they have the best Iced Tea…ooo doggie.

We set up tomorrow for the SHEM homeschool convention and then head south for Texas.

Turn wide and keep you eye on your tail,

  1. Hope the family is all well and the toilet situation is soon over. My kids Love The Truman Library. Wanted to say THANKS to you and your family for your time in KC! I enjoyed 2 of your workshops live and am enjoying 2 more by memorex. I was one of the crazy mom’s who wanted to take your picture. You’ll be glad to know my life resumed that evening when I got home (or rather before via cell phone). Oh, and I do plan to add your picture to my blog in the near future. 🙂

  2. Love living vicariously in the RV with you all! What crazy fun!

We live in Forest City, IA now—home of Winnebago Industries. Keep those RV cheers a goin’and sing it loud! Our community needs it in these hard economic times.

God is faithful! We’ll keep praying for you.

  3. Boy, toilets stink and I don’t just mean “that” way. Hope you can slay that demon and free it to flush again free of leaks.

  4. Hey Todd & Debbie,

Way to remind this “illegal reader” just where her “butter” is spread. I needed the gentle nudging to remind me that I do “remember” my husband is my prince and I need to treat him with that respect each day. Especially when things are “less than Prince-ly”.

    Miss you guys.

    Love ya
    Dottie from CBC

  5. Will be praying for you, your family, and all RV woes! But hey, doesn’t Bass Pro Shops cure everything? It does for my son!
